DESCRIPTION
Pilot 2 aims to apply the methodology and concept of PBoQ (priced bill of quantities) standardisation to a new hospital building in Ljubljana (Slovenia). The pilot project represents the integrated design of a new hospital in a BIM environment in close connection with the interoperability of the BUILDCHAIN platform. Due to the technologically advanced nature of the hospital, the benefits of the BIM approach are even more relevant. The BIM model is developed and updated throughout the project phases, from conceptual design to detailed design and for the needs of the construction itself. The development of the BIM model is also in line with project cost management based on linking PBoQ (priced bill of quantities) with individual BIM building blocks according to the design phase. With the complexity of the BIM model and the increasing number of building blocks, the organisation of the BIM model is necessary for the management of the BoQ, which is achieved with an appropriate Model Breakdown Structure (MBS). ZAG will establish a system of SHM sensors, taking into account the sensitivity of medical devices to even small displacements.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Databases of projects BoQs will be gathered in a standardized format so that it will be possible to perform statistical analyses and data processing. The standardization of BoQ would provide rules for the creation of BoQs and the placement of BoQs in the broader concept of BIM modelling. SHM results will be logged in DBL. Environmental impact calculations will also be logged.
